Sea World

Well, it really is not the Sea World, but Living Planet Aquarium in Sandy and just something fishy for the kids to see. It was actually really nice. They had lots of fun fishes, sea creatures, stingrays and sharks.

This picture looks quiet real, but they didn't have big sharks like that.

Vera seemed to enjoyed the fish and really wanted to eat some too.

This is my sister Masha with her daughter Petra. Petra is trying to bring to your attention that sharks are dangerous.

So are humans trying to eat fish from the water tank. If you can't tell I am trying to eat this huge fish that looks a rock. We barely saw it.

It was fun watching fish and learning a few things. At least it made the kids fall asleep faster?!?!

I've Had It

I had very long hair for a VERY long time, so yesterday morning I got up and that was the end of my long hair. I've had it. I've had it. I've had it.
Couple of hours from then I was at my hair dressers chopping my hair off.

Well, here it is.

Football Anyone?

Vera is starting to love football more and more since it's on all the time in our house. She loves to watch it with Tia. So one time she really got into it and put his Baccaneers jersey on and started screaming - defense! defense!!!

Happy Birthday, Vera!

My little girl Vera is no longer little. She is 3 years old now. Happy Birthday, Vera! Hopefully, since she is 3, the terrible 2's are gone (please).

Laura's Outhouse

This passed Friday we celebrated Vera's 3rd birthday (pictures to follow) and we took her and her two cousins to Boondocks. There was a pretty small area for little kids to play though, which I didn't really like, but it was a still pretty memorable day, especially for me. So Vera was so into playing that she forgot to tell me she wanted to go to the bathroom and when we were about to leave, I realized she was all wet. The only thing I had with me was Vili's pants, so I decided to change her into that. I grabbed her and headed to the bathroom. I walked in and surprisingly the bathroom had less stalls that it usually would, but I didn't care, cause I just needed the changing station which was right there. So I put Vera on it and started taking off her wet clothes and, then I looked around some more - there was a boy who looked at me weird and went about his business. Then a MAN WALKED IN and I was like - WHAT???????? He also looked at me weird and just washed his hands and went out. Then I started to realize that I was in MEN'S BATHROOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So, I grabbed Vera's things and her naked butt and ran outside laughing and all embarrassed.
How's that for a birthday!!

Adventures of the Hair Clippers

All of you that have kids probably experienced that when your child is suspiciously quiet something is on. Sometimes, I think I can smell that in the air. So, what happened this time? Oh, not much. Vera just decided to open a hair salon and her first haircut was her own. As you can remember she had a pretty nice hair cut (see earlier posts or picture above), well now it's gone.

See how left side of her hair is gone? Oh, and enjoy the lovely mohawk.

What? You can't see, see the one below!!!

Her whole left side of hair is now missing. The funny thing is that it was cut in a really straight pattern. Pretty good job.
This is what had to happen to bring Vera back. Aunty Masha had to give Vera a new haircut. Unfortunately, she looks more like a boy now.

Can there be a better look of death than that? I wish your kids many experiences with their hair, however, I strongly advice to keep all sharp, cutting instruments out of reach.

Just Photos

Every girl needs to know how to give a dirty look. Vera has perfected it.

Vera and Petra picking out (more like ripping out) flowers.

My little man.

Battle Wounds

It is always a war to put kids down for a nap. This time the war ended with wounds....bleeding wounds.
Vera and me are hurting from hurting each other.

This is my bleeding lip from Vera headbutting me.

Yep, an ice pack for Vera and a swollen lip for me.

Suprise Party!!!

My sister threw me a Surprise Birthday party this Saturday. All week long I have been trying to make plans for my birthday with my husband, but would always get the "Don't worry about it" answer and no one would tell me anything. So, in the morning Tia told me that he wanted to take me some place, but we needed to drop off the kids first at my sister's. So, we went inside of the house to drop them off and there it was "Surprise!!!!" My very close friends, family and my favorite food was there waiting for me.

Unfortunately, no pictures of my surprise face were taken, but it was an awesome party. We had a Jeopardy game with embarrassing and funny question about me and then we played water balloon volleyball outside. My first surprise party went well, it was a good birthday.
Thank you Tia, mom and Masha.

Villi's Blessing Day

On the 1st of June baby Villi was blessed by his dad. Here are some photos of the event

I have been tagged

The rules of the game: Each player answers the questions about themselves. At the end of the post, the player then tags 3 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog
1. What was I doing 10 years ago?

10 Years ago, I was 16 years old. I lived in Russia with my parents, studying hard in school and sdoing nothing for fun. My family met the missionaries then and we were all babtized in October. I can't believe it's been 10 years since I joined the church. But I do not regret the decision. I love the church and I wouldn't even be where I am today without it.
2. What was on my to-do list for today?

Go to church, get Vera to nap, relax, update my blog (finally!!!), reply to emails in my box... oh, and of course, read some Scriptures :)

3. What would I do if I suddenly became a billionaire?

I'd like to do some charity work, donate some money to those in need, invest some for a return. Like my sister, I would start a business, help my parents with what they need, put some away for my children's education, missions, weddings, etc., take care of the future things and then travel and go shopping.

4. Three bad habits

Bad Habit #1 I do dishes once a week or so, once the sink is full to the top and dishes are all over the counter, then I start cleaning.

Bad Habit #2 I dont know if this can be called a habit, but I have really bad memory on names and faces, so if I ask your name again or won't say hi to you when I see you, please, dont kill me :)

Bad Habit #3 I'm sure I have more then 3 bad habits, but at the moment I can't think of any :0

5. Places I have lived

Vladivostok, Russia
Seoul, Korea (several days only)
Los Angeles, CA
Taylorsville, UT
Midvale, UT
South Jordan, UT

6. Places I have worked...

Polynesian Cultural Center
Laie Inn
SLC Marriott Downtown
Key Bank

7. Three things people don't know about me.

1. I am scared of swimming in the ocean, especially when there's waves (because of #2)
2. I nearly drowned once
3. I still dont know how to use this blog, cause I wasn't the one to create it :)

I tag Maya, Yulia and Kim.

Needed Something to Do

Hey, so here I am finally... having my own blog here. I was just complaining to my husband how bored I am and how I have absolutely nothing to do besides taking care of Vera and how badly I need to find a hobby so I dont die and my sister kept telling me about creating a blog. Not a bad idea. Thanx, sis!
